My post was not meant to offend you. By "obvious" I simply meant there is NO WAY a 4x4 F150 screw loaded up for a trip will attain 20MPG at a constant 85mph. Simply not possible. The math doesn't support it nor do any other members on this forum. He must have miscalculated or something.....
Wow!! I went to work and came back to all these replies. When we were on the way down there I stopped at around 270 miles to get gas because the people we were travelling with needed it. I filled up with 14.3 something gallons. That's a 30 gallon tank. So burning 14.3 gallons over 270 miles would be ~18.8 right? Maybe I did miscalculate? Oh yeah....forgot to say we stayed in between 75 and 80 most the time, and occasionally 85. No faster.
As of right now I have 465 miles from Islamorada and my fuel light should come on tomorrow morning on the way to work. That's two days of city driving combined with the trip from Islamorada to J-Ville. I don't know how many gallons are left when the low fuel comes on, usually around 4-5 gallons. If that's the case I'll be around 16.7 on that tank with a few days of city driving.
Now, the Keys were awesome, we went to Key West and didn't take the boat!!!
That was a friends decision though. Other than that it was a great time, we stayed on the Trumbo base there, right down the road from Duval St. It was less than a 10 minute walk back to our place so we did have some fun on Duval. We took the charter/party boat out one day and had fun out there. We went snorkeling one day and that was fun.
The place you are thinking of is called Robbies I believe, where you can feed the tarpon, but check this out. When we got back from our charter we fed some tarpon!! TONS of them...

All in all it was a good trip. Hope everyone else here has a good time when they go.
Oh btw..I didn't start this thread to brew an argument. Just posting about how I loved the Ford on its first long trip. Let me know if my calculations are wrong!!
Take care!

I have the same truck as you, and your right about it runs great around 80-85mph. But..... i get 14.7 mpg at best.:o When i put my 33 ft travel trailer i get 7.3mpg.
No matter how i drive, stock or with tuner, it just doesn't happen.
