Just bought a new 07 SC FX4, and had a couple questions.

1. I got the "Sport Leather Trimmed Captain's Chairs" option. I understand the back seat is vinyl, but what exactly on the Captain's Chairs is leather? I am not understanding the "trimmed" part of the option. For a $1250 option, seems kind of pricey if only parts of the seats are leather. Also, what exactly is "Sport Leather?"

2. I only have 5000 miles on it, and one thing I am noticing is discoloration on the passenger side door panel (the inside part). There is white staining appearing, especially where the arm rest area is. Anyone else notice this? (It is the black interior). I have only used a damp cloth on it, and it is not coming out. I will be hitting the dealer up on this if it doesn't come out, as it looks old and weathered already.

Other than that, love the truck.

 

Try some Armour All on the doors it will give it a nice shine and protect it from getting dry and cracking.

 

as for this one i might be able to help. have you had some ppl riding with you? i have an 06 lariat with black leather and interior and i get a whitish area where my knee rest against the door. it is just dead skin rubbing off on the black and that is why it shows up so much. so if you have ppl riding with you, then that could be the same thing coming off their elbow. i just use a lil warm rag and it comes out. it takes a lil elbow grease due to the texture of it though. hope this helps.......

 

Click on my gallery and look at the Blue Super Crew. There's a side-by-side picture of the "Sport" leather seat in my '05 FX4 compared to the standard leather trimmed captain's chairs in my '07 FX4. The Sport leather seats have a textured center panel. The standard leather seats do not have any texture, but they have more cushioning material in the seat. As far as I can tell, both front seats are 100% leather. The rear seat is synthetic leather and often referred on the board as "Pleather".

Yhup, I have noticed a few white spots on the interior. It appears to be white lithium grease. It's just a couple of dime sized spots on my passenger door. They come off with Armor-All.
