I have a new body style 07' Chevrolet regular cab short bed 4x4 with the Z71 suspension. I also have my 06' F-150 extended cab 4x4 truck as well. Honestly, the Ford has a better ride over rougher streets, except for the vibration in the steering wheel. The Chevy is a lot shorter wheelbase as well, which hurts it in comparison to a longer wheelbase truck. The Chevy has a LOT tighter suspension than my F-150 as well. They are two different trucks, but the F-150 has the smoother ride on the rougher streets. I just wish the dealer would get rid of the horrible vibration in the steering wheel.

Lets see if that holds up, GM trucks are normally fond of loosening up real fast.
