I am stock, but I've only had it a couple of months. Still, I'm doing a good job resisting the urge, because there aren't many things I'd want to change yet.

STEREO:
The basic single CD non-audiophile system is fine for me for now, although I'm starting to notice some crackling in the front door speakers, so they may get replaced in the somewhat near future. I actually prefer the lighting/appearance/controls of stock head units in most cars. Most aftermarket head units are too ugly, flashy and "busy" to me, and I just don't like they way they look so "out of place" in the dash. That being said, I've never had anything before with a double-DIN unit, and some of the aftermarket ones are rather nice looking. If I can find something that has controls and lighting colors similar to the rest of the factory dash, I may go for it. I'm huge into music of all types and need it wherever I go, but I don't crank it like I used to so I don't need 2 12" subs with hundreds of watts worth of amplifiers like I used to end up with crammed in my vehicles.

INTAKE:
I've learned to just leave the damn things alone. Sure aftermarket ones look nicer. About all most of them are good for is making noise....and there's nothing wrong with that if it's what you want. At most, by just dropping one in with no other changes, you're looking at maybe 5HP at the wheels....you can't even feel 5HP difference in a 5800lb truck anyhow so I always chuckle a bit when someone says they feel a little power increase....been there before and been involved with those mindgames. Not to mention that even with those goofy looking sound cancellation chamber things, the stock intake lets a decent amount of "growl" still come through.

EXHAUST:
This is likely to be an area I will make changes at some point. I like to hear a little more than what the stock system makes. I just don't want NOISE anymore. I'm looking for a more "refined" sound now. I used to want volume, which invariably always brings noise with it. I don't want it to sound like a top fuel dragster, which was my goal in previous years. Why make a $30K 2007 truck sound like a junky '67 pickup with no muffler? I just want a nice clean, more aggressive sound, but only slightly louder than stock. I'm looking into the Roush "legal" system and the Corsa.

WHEELS:
I think the stock XLT 17" aluminum wheels are pretty boring and don't compliment the truck so well. This is another area where I may make a change but I don't like any aftermarket wheels I've seen all that much better.

BODY:
I've had in-channel side window vent/visors on every truck I've had, so eventually I'll get some. I hate the increased wind noise, but they serve their purpose very well. I also intend to pick up a set of factory mudguards and possibly a hood deflector to help cut down a bit on the paint chips. I almost bought a set of gray FX4 fender flares, which would look great, but I couldn't bring myself to drill holes in the sides of my fenders. I think I may heat up and remove the "4X4" decals from the bed and maybe replace with smaller factory ones from a Ranger or something. I've never had a tonneau on any previous trucks, but where this one is more of a "family" vehicle than any of them were, I might get one now so I can lock stuff in the bed on trips.

INTERIOR:
The XLT 40/20/40 armrest/console is pretty much useless. Dodge and GM have had much better ones for 10+ years now and Ford still can't make a decent one. I have thought a lot about taking the "20" center section out and puting in a take-out factory XLT console like some here have done. The armrest looks more comfortable, the cupholders are in a much better position, and there's more storage inside. I'm on the fence but I might get a set of Weathertech or Husky floor mats.

Ahh crap....I just realized I'm not 100% stock....I used carpeted MDF to build a storage compartment under the rear seat, and put a Westin bed extender in (pics in gallery)....oh well.

I was all set to proudly boast that my '04 was bone stock, until I remembered the K&N filter, aftermarket stereo, LineX, the auxillary backup lights I installed, aftermarket battery.......

I guess everyone down south has it and is a necessity which would be why i guess i dont consider it a mod worthy of adding to a list. More of a necessity as you described for me then a mod.

Mine was stock for about a week maybe?

But then... mine really looks pretty stock even with the noticeables on the exterior - to me.

Until there are rims and exhaust... I'm too stock.
I forget all I've done until I think of trading it...

My 2005 is still bone stock had the truck since November of 05. I would have had some mods already but due to monthly bills haven't had any extra money for mods yet.
