Question Console Shifter Question

I'm in the middle of a flow-thru console conversion in a SuperCab XLT. I realized that the shifter I just ordered off of ebay is for the new Ford Explorers dispite the listing stating it was from an F150. I thought no big deal, they look close enough, I'll make it work. After examining pictures of both I've discovered that the Explorer shifter has an extra gear. "1 2 3 D "instead of "1 2 D" like that of the F150. Does anyone know if it is going to be possible to get this shifter to work? Will it be worth the hasle, or do I need to cut my losses and keep looking for a F150 shifter?

Thanks,
Richard

I dont know if you will be able to make it work. If you don't get it to work make sure you get the explorer handle to fit in the f150 those are exactly what i've been wanting... just not sure if I can make it fit.
