The fronts are, the rears arent.

the back rest on a supercrew has an arm rest and supercab doesnt and i heard that the supercab back seat is a bit smaller than the supercrew but i might be wrong on that

You are correct. The front seats for both the crew and supercab are nearly the same. The rear seats are drastically different, thus leather takeoffs from a crewcab must be modified to fit properly.

Front seats - supercabs have the seatbelt built into the seat whereas crewcabs do not. So a small opening must be made to accommodate this. very easy to do.

Back seats - as you mentioned crewcabs have an armrest incorporated into the rear seat. Also the part where you put your butt in a supercab is about 2inchs shorter (not thinner) than a crewcab's bench. I liken it to wearing a size 13 shoe when you foot is actually a size 10. The bench of a supercab just doesnt fill out the leather coverings of a crewcab.

I made this switch about 1.5 years ago. I was able to find the leathers on eBay for 99.00 and paid an upholster 100.00 to modify the back seat covers to fit. I am very pleased with the final product.

I also live in the greater Houston area and have not experienced a problem from scorching leather seats.

The tint will help more than the jeans will.

For some reason, cars and truck seem to get hotter in Houston than DFW does. I'm not sure why or if its just in my head, but seems like it.

Little sidenote on the heat- its not a good idea to leave sunglasses in the roof mounted bin as that little space gets freaking hot.

My supercrew doesnt have armrests incorporated into the rear seat. Armrests are part of the doors

Read leatherseats.com warranty before making a purchase decision. Too many ifs to the point you wonder if they back their product.

Im glad I was able to score a set of SC leather take offs from newtakeoffs.com about 4m ago, still waiting to put them on. It seems so hard to get your hands on an actual set of SC leather covers rather then the CC. So luckily no center arm rest modifications will be needed to get them to fit right. Just need to get my a** in gear and get them put on. Happy hunting and good luck
