What do you want, better highway mileage or in town mileage? Obviously the 5.13's will be a little torq'y compared to stock. I would go with 5.13's, can't be a big difference in mileage and you can always get great mileage if you slow down and drive like a woman.

I thought so, it seems like you'll be stuck with 4.88s. I don't think you'll have any problems with 40s and 4.88s though.

I am running 4.88's and they work good, I couldn't find any 5.13's anywhere for the reverse cut 8.8. Randy's R&P worked for me. I havent done anything to my tranny except a line shift pressure valve like the one on the lightnings and a extra tranny cooler and a rear axle girdle for more fluid in the rear.

Sorry to hijack the thread but you can not accept PM's. How are those tires holding up? Are you getting a lot of vibrations or balance problems? Also how about wear?
Thanks man, just curious because my Mud Grapps suck!!!

Oh and By the way my 4:88's work well, its the transmission that is CRAP!!!

I just got 4.56's in my truck. I just picked it up today. It pulls awesome now. Feels like stock.
