Chrome Calipers

Has anyone ever chromed their calipers? I have been thinking about it to make the rest of my truck, but i dunno if it would look good or not.

Chrome doesn't dissipate heat too well. Otherwise, it'd look good on a show car. A daily driver is gonna look pretty dirty pretty fast.

Fabian polished his. Looked good. I don't know what the longevity of the finish is but take a look at this thread.

Looks like it was alot of work.

Thats pretty cool. . I might polish mine if I get bored enough one night. I think you'd need to polish them up quite often though to keep a shine.

If you polished them, maybe you could put some type of high temp. clear coat on 'em after. That might make it easier to get the brake dust off......

Yup thats what the other guy in the thread that was posted did. I just don't know how it'd hold up over time.

Dayum...those polished calipers of Fabians are F'n sweet.

Might have to try that myself once I upgrade the rims...

Have you ever polished out rough finished aluminum before guys? Good god it can be a pain. He said it took him two hours....I would say more like 2 hours a side. Maybe I had a bad experience. I would love to polish out my control arms.
