Thinking about getting a set and just wanted to see what others that may have them think of them.

Do searches on stake hole tie downs. There's many many options out there.
FWIW, those look semi decent. I've considered getting a set of some sort also; figure for $30, what's the harm in trying?

said it before and will say it again. If you dont have it or dont use them dont post. Honestly how are you going to talk down on something you havnt used? My dad has them on his superduty and they work great. They pop up when you need them and flat when you dont. My dad likes them so much he has put them on his last 2 SD's. Also we have never had one pop out on us either. My question is how do you use them on a 150? my stake holes are covered I would have to cut my top cap to use them?

So your stake holes are covered up? Don't you have the little removeable rectangle plastic covers over the stake holes?

Hey I was looking through your gallery... nice looking truck.
Obviously you lived and it probably is plenty strong enough, but you may not want to support your vehicle by the tow hook. I work for Ford in the Crash Test facility and the F-150 tow hooks all break off on 90º frontal impacts over 20MPH. You'll notice the tow hooks stick out slightly farther than the bumper... this is so the tow hooks make contact with the barrier face first and shear the bolts off. The reason for this is because the front of the frame is designed to crush to absorb impact energy and the tow hooks prevent it from crushing correctly, so they're designed to shear off. After recent frame modifications, the tow hook bolts were reduced from 10.9 grade to 9.8 grade so they would shear more easily.
The tow hooks are still plenty strong to yank, jerk, tow, pull, etc. other truck or get yanked out, so don't worry about that.
