In the picture above from the Ford site I noticed that FX4 had the FX2 style headlights, painted door handles, painted grille, and painted mirror skull caps.

At first I thought it was a misleading picture, but I just heard that those items come on FX4's if you get the luxury package. Could someone please confirm this?

If so I'm going to be really happy because my truck is on order and I was already looking into buying FX2 headlights and door handles.

Also, I noticed on the 2006 FX4's with luxury they used the Lariat leather guage eyebrow and had the blank buttons for the message center. Any chance they added the Lariat message center to the 2007 FX4's with luxury?

 

Here is the content of the 2007 FX4 Luxury package. It does include everything in that picture except if you get the supercrew with the power fold mirrors, you don't get the body color side mirror caps. It does include the lariat dash brow with blanks for the message center buttons. I think several people have done the lariat dash conversion, so you can probably search for that to find the how to. I special ordered mine too and have had it for 1 month and love it. Only thing I wish it had was the message center but I am not going through the trouble of converting to the lariat dash because I like the look of the FX4 gauges better.

Yeah I wish they would have added the message center to the package; I currently own a 2004 Lariat, so I know I'm going to miss it.

I am going to do the Lariat gauge cluster conversion. I agree that the white/creme colored Lariat gauges wouldn't look good in an FX4, so I'm going to install a stainless steel gauge overlay from US Speedo on the Lariat cluster. IMO it will look better than the factory FX4 cluster because you'll maintain the silver look of the gauges, but add the chrome rings around the gauges to match the A/C vent surrounds.

They don't have a picture of the Lariat overlay installed on their site anymore... or at least I can't find it, but you'll get the idea of how it would look from this picture of a SuperDuty overlay.
