1 Piece Grill Guards - Push?

I'm taking delivery of a 2007 F-150 soon and I need a grill guard. I've had a 1 piece Manik on my '97 and have been relatively happy with it.

Thus far I'm looking at the WAAG and Manik 1 piece units. Unfortunately neither puts good information on F-150 specific applications on their web site. Just generic stuff.

Here's what I'm looking for a grill guard....

- Black. It's going on a black truck, and it better be dark black and not fade.
- 1 piece, I'm looking for strong.
- Along with strong, I like the rubber pads, I want to know it's strong enough that if I have to push a car I can without damaging the guard.
- Retain the factory tow hooks, or supply hooks of it's own.
- Mounting locations for at least two, preferably 4 lights.

A bonus would be one with a receiver tube mount. I dunno if I'll ever get a winch, but if I do I'd prefer a receiver tube based unit.

Recommendations? Pictures?

The GSP is the same as the Manik guard, exact identical guard. I have the GSP guard on my truck. You know how the quality of the manik guard is already, and the GSP is the same for me.

Pics in my gallery.

Hey stealth, did the stock tow hooks not work with that brush guard?

Yes they did, only my truck didn't come with them, I bought the factory tow hooks and added them when I put on the guard.

It's a bit hard to see, but it doesn't look from the side view that it's nearly as substantial as my '97 unit. I see relatively thin above and below the bumper mounts. My '97 is below the bumper only, with a 6-8" piece of thick steel to make the connection.

Are the pictures deceiving? Is it a substantial mount? I don't want to bump a parking garage wall and have it crumple...

Well, it is OK for what I use it for. It has a feature that pivots it with some quick release handles in order to open the hood. It hugs the front end tight so in order for the hood to be opened two latches need to be released, easily by hand.

The guard mounts where the factory tow hooks mount, then in the center it has two metal brackets that mount to the frame as well. It doesn't shake while driving or over bumps, but it isn't as beefy as some of the ranch hand or frontier grille guards.

All mounts are 1/4" metal as are the brackets.
