Top bolt on front shocks
What's the line from Forest Gump "stupid is as stupid does" or something like that.
Take the complete strut out and have someone with a good spring compressor do the work.
And this is from somebody that use to have to use a cheap spring compressor and got hit in the chest by a spring from a Cadillac.

As long as the bottom bolt is still attached there insnt anywhere for the spring to go but up into the coilbucket, it cant shoot out sideways its still attached to the LCA and anyways I have taken them off first hand and there was no "hundereds of pounds of spring pressure"
