That leads to another question. Are you going to use the truck? If I installed a supercharger on my truck it would be a neverending project. After you get the SC you will probly want gears, than a brake kit, new driveshafts, headers...I could go on and on but in the end it all boils down to how bad do you want it and how much cash you have in hand. oh yeah and do you really wan to go 100+ on a set of 35's

Not unsafe if you never go that fast. Just because you have a S/C doesn't mean you have to go 100 mph......you can just get to the speed limit a LOT quicker. When did you add new tires to your truck? That looks good man!

i think it is a very good idea
i love mine, and being able to raost 38" is awsome IMO, having all the power you could ever need in the mud sand dirt and street, being able to pull a 7K trailer easyly, i could go on and on, just do it right and get good tuning at it would be good

How do you think monster trucks get 1450 HP? They are supercharged beasts

I'd definitely recommend a roots type blower (Whipple, Magnacharger, etc) over a centrifugal (Procharger, Vortech) as they have awesome low-end torque and a very flat torque curve which would be beneficial on a lifted truck with big/heavy meats. The centri's make their power up high in the RPMs which work very well on the drag strip.

I'm planning on S/Ging my truck as my last mod before a SAS swap. I also plan on keeping the ole' girl forever and get something else as a daily driver. I say go for it, you'll just need a GOOD set of traction bars.

How much would it cost? If you are really wealthy and can throw money away, it might be worth adding it just for fun. If not, its definitely not worth it because the money could be used for other things, or the new model if you are thinking about getting one.

Why would installing a supercharger on a lifted truck EVER be a bad idea?

Why would adding a supercharger on ANYTHING be a bad idea?

I'd do it if I could get a deal. If these were like the old body style, it would be nice, as there are tons of lightning parts around, so super charging the old ones is probably alot cheaper.

good idea.....for the most part.

the biggest killer though..... gas mileage.....

6000 pound truck, lifted, with heavy wheels and tires, plus a supercharger.
