Decoding VIN Numbers

After the problems I'm having with my truck I want to know if I might have one that was built on a Friday or a Monday. Supposedly vehicles built on those days are the most problematic. Does anyone know of a way to decode you're VIN and get the build dates and everything else?

You can't tell the build date from the VIN but, The sticker in you door jamb has the build date, it's also on the window sticker.

Your dealer can put the VIN into their system and tell you the date. The date on the door is the month/year.

As for Monday/Friday built. I work manufacturing and have for the past 15 plus years. I can assure you that product can suck just as much on Tuesday thru Thursday vs Monday or Friday.

You're surely not going to gain anything by knowing, so forget it and if your truck is a good one, you wont be visiting the dealer or shop often and if it's not a good one, well, you get the picture.
