If my 4.2l v6 stick can seriously roast'em like chicken on my grill, then a 4.6l or the 5.4l should be no sweat. The 4.2l v6 auto might have a problem... but mine sure has no problem.

I've even burned out in reverse.

Reverse it pretty easy with rear wheel drive...

one last time. The F-150 (any motor) will do a burnout...enough that you'll wear out your tires. The guys on Trucks were downplaying the power of the 5.4 so the Rousch S/C they installed would look even more impressive. That thing is wicked enough without blowing smoke up our butts, but that's what they did.

Just give it gas and hold down the brakes. Your motor will easily overpower the rear brakes and start them puppies spinning. Just give it plenty of gas

oh, and use some cheapie tires...it'll hurt your wallet less

I guess im gettin old cause i dont see the sence of wasting $200-$400 tires for some and this drifting thing has got to be the stupidest way of ruining tires maybe if i was 18-23 years old again but them days are long gone now im looking for the best possible gas mileage and make my tires last as long as they can.

Damn, $1500 for the set? I'm not doubting you at all but that just doesn't make sense, especially with those reviews!
Nope he lives in the Dallas area by me and his dad owns a HUGE home building company. My tractor has airconditioning too and its the ****! But the bulldzoer, not so much

Not F-150 related, but a friend of mine did a pretty nice burnout with his 22 year old 928. He did this with sticky BFG KD 285s and if you listen closely the auto tranny shifted into second as soon as he let off the brake and started moving.

What I was getting at is the 5.4 burnouts vids that have been posted lately are not hitting on much at all. Where as a 4.6 vid in this thread was way better. The 5.4 motors are way more powerful and I would like to see some of them roasting the tires.

Or if your friend that is recording the video starts to run because you almost hit them then you can smile too.
