Driver side rattle

Ok, did a search and came up with nothing. 04 screw,4x4 with 2 in autospring. I have a rattle in the drivers side front. Sounds like it's something loose on the front suspension. I have been checked the front and found nothing. This thing is really plucking my nerves. Any help would be great.

I had a problem not too long ago with a noise coming from under the drivers side. When i would stop at a traffic signal i would here this rattle (sounded like a light tapping on a tin can) coming from the bottom of my car. It only sounded when i was stopped while in drive and i only heard it when the window was down. It was coming from the Catalytic converter cover under the drivers side. So i tighten the shackles on the exhaust system and it eliminated the extra vibration causing it to rattle. Not sure if that is the answer to your case. What are you doing when this noise is occuring? parked, turning, idiling?

Do you get the noise all the time or only when accelerating?? If only when accelerating, check the vaccuum lines that control the auto-hubs. A loose/damaged line would cause the hubs to try to engage and cause a sound like tin cans dragging on the pavement, only while accelerating. Had this happen to a buddy of mine after a leveling kit install. I accidentally knocked off the vaccuum line to the front hub. Also this hose line goes to the controller which is located behind the battery, good luck....

I get the rattle on rough roads at about 20-30 MPH. sounds like something is loose in the front end.

I have had the same type issue for months and cannot find the noise. I too have an autospring kit. My noise is also coming from the drivers side front wheel area. I posted this a few weeks ago and the common response was that it was the sway bar end links; it was not. I swear I have checked every nut and bolt from the trans to the front bumper and found nothing loose.

PLEASE post if you find out what is causing your rattle. I have had mine for months...

Have you checked the intake coming out of the drivers fender in the engine compartment. I had a rattle and my intake at the fender was coming out. Snapped it back in and didn't have any problems since.

I have the airaid jr. kit, so this is not my problem. My rattle is metallic sounding. It almost sounds as if whatever is rattling is in danger of falling off. I too only notice it at slow speeds going over bumps (washboard type).

Thanks for the input though.

I had the same noise. Turned out it was the left side 4x4 hub. Dealer told be it was the hub not disengaging fully. Funny to me since i had only used 4x4 like 3 times.

Normal mode for engine of is the hubs engaged. They disengage when you start the engine and build vacuum.
