Guys with Roush intercooled kit......

Ok, I have a few questions. I have put a few miles on the truck since the new engine and intercooler install and I'm having a little surging problem at light throttle application. The s/c engages a LOT sooner than it used to with the non-i/c kit and I don't know if the surging is caused by the pulley that I have on there, or if possible the vac lines for the bypass valve aren't hooked up right. My question is.....when you accelerate normally, do you feel the s/c engage pretty much as soon as you give it an average amount of throttle, or do you have to mash it down at least 1/2 way? Before with the non-i/c tune, the bypass valve wouldn't close until I was into the throttle at least 1/2 way and then jump to around 2 psi and go to 6 if I floored it. Now, with the new tune, as soon as I accelerate, it closes the valve, I can hear the exhaust note change, and I still have ~ 5" vacuum in the intake manifold all the way to 8psi depending on where my foot is. I do like the fact that it engages sooner, because the transition from no boost to boost is seemless, where before it was sudden and not as smooth. But it has a slight surging where if I hold my foot just as the bypass valve closes with normal acceleration, I can watch the vac/boost gauge bounce between 7"-0" of vacuum and the truck will surge a little. I wanted to make sure my bypass valve was hooked up correctly and you other guys with the intercooled tune have this instant engagement of the valve. That will point me to thinking it is the pulley.......
