Bilsteins - with or without AS?

I've currently got 2" AS installed and haven't had any issue with it. In the very near future I'm going to order a set of Bilsteins, the silver model which are adjustable (not diggin the yellow color, just personal). So I think I have a couple options when the Bilsteins get in:

1 - Keep the AS and install the Bilsteins with 0 adjustment
2 - Ditch the AS and install the Bilsteins with the 2" perch adjustment

Are there TECHNICAL reasons to do it one way over the other, I've heard opinions but nothing concrete. My gut feeling tells me to do #1 because of the shorter shock travel, but I'm no suspension guru.

I've got no plans to lift this truck. May do 33's some day, but that'll have to wait for some 4.10s

I'm by no means a suspension guru, but I do have the 5100's set a 2" and I love them. The ride is great, very controlled.

I had a AS 2.5" prior to the 5100s and took it off. My thinking was that I was removing one more potential problem. Don't get me wrong I loved the AS and never had a problem with it, but it just one less peice of hardware to worry about and basically puts the suspension back to stock while giving you 2" of lift.

Just my 2 cents.

I chose option 2, with no regrets.

The shock travel remains the same either way, only the spring is preloaded from the top with the AS and bottom with the 5100s.

Option 2 is less parts and you can sell the spacers.
