tire gauge

Yesterday i took my stock tires off my truck and replaced them with 33x11 bridgestone dualers, and now my low tire pressure gauge is on. how do these tire pressure gauges work? How do i make the light go off? Did i come on because of the bigger tires. i didnt even no my truck had a tire pressure guage.

Pretty sure all '07s have them-mine does.As for why its on I really dont know unless whoever mounted the tires messed with the sensors. They are banded to the rim and should be opposite of the valve. I know the light comes on if they drop lower than a predetermined point but not sure what exactly it is.

I bet your tire dealer broke one of the sensors. Mine did, but they were good enough to let me know. They fixed it a couple days later when the sensor came in.

Go back and let them know you've got this problem. Maybe you've got a sensor that needs to be retrained.

Yeah...they must have broke a sensor because 35 psi is 35 psi, whether there is a 39 inch tire or a 29 inch tire, it really shouldn't matter. I believe the light comes on at 14% under 35 psi. The specs call for 15%, but Ford wanted to tighten things up a little more I suppose. You have double checked the pressure, right?

When they replaced one of my tires, i had to hit the reset button on my dash and the light turned off.
