Question Should I trade or not?

OK Guys, give me some feedback. I have an Oxford White 05 F150 Scab STX with lots of mods. I was thinking of trading this truck in on an 07 F150 Screw Lariat. My notes will remain the same. I really want the 5.4 for more power and the Screw in place of the Scab. I have 35 more payments on my current F150 and with the new truck it will go back to 60. What should I do?

hold on to your truck you have now and get all the payments done, then get you a new F150 when the new body style/motor ect. comes out

Joe, I'm on the fence as well. 04 STX with a bunch of mods wanting to get into an XLT crew cab. payments would be the same. notes go from 26 left to 36.

I say wait. When the new body style comes out, you'll want to upgrade to that. I think be patient and enjoy your nicely modded truck

I agree on the wait idea. Even if you don't like the new style, you can get the outgoing model for cheaper that way.

If you want a new truck and can afford it and it won't interfere with retirement, bills, discretionary funds, etc. I say go for it. What good is making money if you spend on things you don't want?

And look at it this way, if you keep your current truck for another year or two, you'll have 6 or 7 more years of consecutive payments. If you trade now you'll only have 5. Sure the payments will be lower for those 6 or 7 years, but not by all that much.

Well, the '09 will be a first year truck, and like the '04s it will probably have it's fair share of issues. You could trade now, and then trade again in '10 when they have most of the issues worked out.

I had an 04 FX4 scab, 05 Lariat screw, and now an 06 FX4 scab. I like the scabs and the FX4 style and scab's better so I traded the Lariat in and went back. Point is buy what you like now, why wait and deal with first model year again... Look on the Tundra forum, lots of complaints of ticking motors on the new Tundra's. Just my .02 here, I would trade it, chances are real good you'll get a perfect 07 !

I say being as close as we are to the next new style F150's coming out I would wait until then and try and pay off your current truck before then.

Your getting out of an STX Scab and into a Lariat Screw. With 0% financing going on right now it's kind of a no brainer.

Another vote for waiting. You always take it up the a$$ on trades. If you want to upgrade at least try and sell it privately first.
