dropping to level

I have searched the forum and either and I either don't know what to look for or the info isn't there. What I am looking for is information of leveled trucks. I am not looking for trucks that have had the front end raised to ride level with the rear. I am looking for trucks that have had the rear dropped to ride level with the front. I don't want to go any lower that the stock front ride height.

Does anyone have any pics of the rear dropped to ride level with the front?

Thanks in advance.

Think I might have a few picutres in my gallary. I went with the Ground force drop shackle bc it included the shims. I feel it helped the truck handle a little better but that might be all in my head. One thing it did do was made it a little easier to get in and out of the bed.

I have a new extra set of the Ground Force shackle I could sell you if your intrested just PM me or email cvc14@aol.com. I ordered them from 2 different place bc the first place could not come through and after I placed the second order both of them showed up to my house. I got lazy and never returned the one set. i will give you a good price so i could just get rid of it.

If ur 4x4, its easy, by removing the blocks......that's what I did. If you are 2x4, then you have to do drop shackles or something like that. Here's mine with stock wheels.......

And 22's

4x2 or 4x4?

4x4: get 2wd rear u-bolts. unbolt your axle and remove the factory 2" block. rebolt the axle with the 2wd u-bolts...drive away happy

4x2: you'll need a shackle kit to drop the rear or 4x4 coil-over to bump the front up 1"

if you remove the rear block (on 4x4) you might want to buy some shims...the lowered angle on the driveshaft may cause vibration problems and the shims will index your axle to remove that vibration.

you need the 2wd u-bolts because they are shorter in lenght and you can get proper thread protrusion/torque specs. the 4wd u-bolts will be too long and you'll run out of thread before the nuts get tight.

this will take you about 1 hour to do in your driveway...doing this will limit you in the overall size of tires you can fit without rubbing...I think a 32-33" is all you can safely fit
