Question for Mr. Quintin

Hey bro! I posted this a while back but want to see if I can fix myself. The output shaft on my transfer case is leaking past the seal and as a result I believe is causing my clunks on takeoff and downshifts. Is it easy enough to pull the driveshaft, lube the splines, replace the seal, and reinstall? Should this solve the clunking on take off issue? I know your busy, so no real rush!

Thanks Quintin. By the way, hows the Lariat doin?

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Although if you've got clunking and popping going on, you've probably need to lube the slip yoke too. Stay tuned, I plan on doing this to my truck in the coming weeks, with a how-to thread and some pictures.

And what's left of my truck, it's doing well, heh. Getting the B-pillar trim replaced today because of hail damage.
