Ac

Lately its been 100 here and my AC sucks!! Its only been 100 and my AC cant keep up, wait tell it get to 118. Ill drive for almost thirty minutes home with the AC on max and it still be a little hot. I don't remember it sucking this bad last year but I have already looked for oily/leak spots and there are none. It sucked last year but it seems worse now. What can I do? A front mounted pusher fan, or a while back I saw a CO2 blaster for the front of an inter-cooler it sprays CO2 or NO2 and thus bring down the temp by a lot for a minute or so, could I do this to give my AC a helper cooling boost? What else is there out there, some of that max cool 134a super freon, does that help?

did u make sure recirculate is on? AC is on and not just at a low temperature? That the vents are open to the front? I know on mine if recirculate it doesnt work that well at all. I have electronic air conditioning controls though

I am having a similar problem.....

my ac works but It never gets to the point where it's cold and I turn it down..

if it's working as intended I am ****ed when it actually gets hot here.

probably gonna take it to the dealer this week and have it looked at.

heres something to get yall all worked up. Air conditioning systems dont make cold air, they take the heat out of the air

But OP you can have a pin point sized leak that you cant detect, and over the course of 8 months since last summer its drained completely. I would recommend taking it to a pro and have it looked over. AC systems are very touchy and if you think you are helping by adding refrigerant, or stop leak. You can really be setting yourself up for major problems down the road.

I am going to have my mechanic put his gauges on it Tuesday, does anyone know anything about that super 134a? Does it really help? Any other hits for colder AC?

A fully functional system will do just fine with just plain old virgin R134a. No additives, no super, etc
