sloshing noise

Anyone get a water sloshing noise when they turn in their truck? I hear it mostly when turning and not braking, is it gas? Or something else?

Park nose down on a hill and pull up your front door sill plates. You may have water in the wiring channels.

Not trying to be a jerkoff but gasoline is a liquid and i would think that it would "slosh around", especially when turning. Unless of course you have one of those magic always full gas tanks. If thats the case tell me where you got it

I thought it moght be gas too but this is the first time I've noticed it

I dont think its any kind of liquid either I'm pretty sure its the rear suspension creaking as I turn. It started after i went mudding with it and I'm thinking maybe the leafs springs have some mud stuck in between them. Im going to clean them tomorrow and put some wd-40 in there to see if that helps

Mabey try to shove some wheel/bearing grease in there. The WD might evaporate quick

take it to the car wash and spend about 5 minutes getting the mud out of your undercarriage. then put some baby oil in a spray bottle and coat your undercarriage with baby oil. it will make most of the mud just slide right off.

Sloshing Sound

I also had the noise in my 04. Turns out the the passenger side wire channel was full of water. To this day I don't know how that water ended up in there. Truck was never off roaded or taken through standing water. So far my 06 doesn't seem to have the same problem.

There have been several locations where leaks have occurred. Places to check are: electrical bulkhead connector going to passenger side door, windshield not sealed, HVAC box on firewall not sealed, body cowling seam not sealed, and third brake light not sealed. It's probably not the third brake light because that leak usually causes water to collect in the headliner and drain out on the back seat. Good luck, it took 6 trips to the dealership to get my leaks fixed on my 06 F150.

Water in channel

I had the same water issue as you and KD4CRS in my 05. It went to the dealership 3 times for the issue and they still could not fix it..... I eventually traded it in. They did use some kind of sealant around a body seam towards the passenger side firewall area and it fixed it for a while but eventually came back. Not to throw even more bad news at you but when I changed my radio out in it there was very heavy surface rust on any non-painted part. I live in Texas and during the summer it would get really hot and evaporate the water and you could put your hand under the dash and feel condensation, headliner was moist, windows were steamed up, etc. Made me think about all the wiring and electrical connections eventually getting corroded over time. Maybe yours is not as bad as mine was but I'd get it fixed ASAP.

If it's out of warrenty i'd pull the carpet out, take the glovebox door off (& whatever else you can remove that may block your vision) and climb in the truck with a flashlight (close the door) and have a buddy drench the truck from top to bottom with a water hose (high-pressure sprayer would be evn better)...... you may be able to see it leak then know what to fix. GOOD LUCK!!
