? Navigation Radio w/In-Dash Screen and DVD ROM

First off I just bought a 2007 super crew F-150 FX4 Luxury, and wow!
Does the stock navigation play dvd movies? I placed a DVD in the slot and it returned it with an error message. I took a look at the navi book and there is another slop were the map dvd is. So my question is if I put a DVD movie in there will I be able to watch it?

Next is the aux input, I hooked up my iPod and press line in. It played the music, but I could only here the speakers on the left side.

Nice truck with the luxury package isnt it? I had to special order mine and it came in on Tuesday. You dont see many around with this package.

Anyway, on the DVD question it will only read the map DVD's and not DVD movies.

***** THIS IS MY THEORY *****

The stock Navi unit is based on the Pioneer Avid D2, wrapped in a Ford chassis, and adds a few options. My D2 will only play the Navi DVD in the DVD slot and CD (CD-ROM) in the CD slot. Therefore, I'm guessing the stock unit does the same.

I'm not sure about your ipod only playing on the left side, maybe your cable wasn't plugged in securely (poor contact).

Sounds like a great truck!! Congrats!!

Plug your Ipod into a set of headphones and see if the problem still persists (audio coming out of one channel, either right or left). If the problem stands its your Ipod, you have a common problem that I myself have. Read here.

I tried putting a DVD movie in the dvd rom and it didn't work. I also moved the wired around and got music from all the speakers excpet the audiophile. I guess I just need to buy a new cord?

yeah, I read your post and my ipod works fine with head phones. I tried both my ipod and same problem. Did you read my post saying if I move the wire around I can get all the speakers to play?

If it works with other headphones just fine, then it's your the cable without question. It's very common for the Ipod to be damaged, rather than your cable. I don't know how the prong on the cable is damaged and isnt' making contact. If you move it around and it works then its probably your Ipod, my Ipod does this, I have to bend the cable inwards to make contact for both channels otherwise I get audio out of one channel.
