Is open y bad?

I have been running my truck open y for a couple weeks now and I got to wondering if it was bad for the engine. I think I heard that it was bad for the heads to run open headers but I do have both of the cats on so I just wanted a little feedback. I hope it isn't bad because I love the sound especially when you get on it.

Not positive but won't the exhaust gases eventually cause corrosion problems?

That's a good question I didn't think that far ahead I tend to live for the moment.

Here are the videos
Don't mind the squeaking brakes I had just gone mudding the day before. You can see Pat's truck in the background.

the Y dump won't affect your engine. all it will do is ruin the underside of your truck. you might lose a little low end torque, but not enough to be noticeable. you might want to consider running a pipe out the side just to preserve the underside of the truck

It was the only place where I could do it myself. Since it bolts up it I just undid a couple of bolts and it was done. It is just as easy to put back on too. Don't think I will though. unless I hear that it is bad. I may run some tips out the side. What's the rule of thumb on tips?

I think it sounds good, it is the loudest setup I've had. It sounds more like a carb engine, it actually has a roar to it. I am thinking about putting tips out the side.

More clips? No problem you may have to wait a little bit, these finals are killing me! I also have to use Pat's camera, again. My was sent in for repairs

I will have some by next week FOR SURE! Any special requests?

One of my old setups was side exhaust with no mufflers(setup like the lightnings). Sounded good, but to loud for me.
