Another New Guy ? About CAI's

Just wondering if my cel is going to come on with a K+N 63 series. I was told at one of my local unreliable aftermarket stores that almost all cai's trigger the cel's to come. Anybody have this problem with this specific setup on the 5.4.

Thanx

Ive never actually seen anyone on here who uses the 63 series, but for the most part K & N's havent been known to throw a CEL light unless they were incorrectly installed. Most people around here use the 77 series or 57 series and everytime a code was thrown it was because it was loose or they forgot to put the vacuum hose on right, but im only saying this in what i have seen on here and i cant be sure about the 63 seriesl. Goodluck

Volant CAI installed at ~500 miles. now at ~13,000 miles

no CEL ever

make sure you unplug your battery when you do the install. it forces the computer to reset and relearn. this will allow the MAF to adjust to the increased air flow and not throw a CEL.

get the Volant, it's a better product than K&N
