Is the tailgate lock/handle combo easily interchangeable between tailgates?

I was rear ended and instead of getting a new tailgate Id like to find a tailgate off of a wrecked F150 or something of the same color and just swap it but still want my key to work on the tailgate.

Also I know that at some point someone had posted a website that you might be able to find used parts anywhere in the country anyone know what that might be or know the best way to find one?

When you pull the access panel off the tailgate, there are two nuts holding the handle in place, pull them and the handle comes right out. Also the lock cylinder is held in with a c-clip (you reuse your original lock on replacment or mark lt handles).
