Opinons...hood scoops

Hey guys.. The next thing i'm doing to my truck is a lift. I'm not going to have money to buy a ram air hood. I was just wandering what you guys would think if i put these hood scoops on my truck? Would it ruin it? I saw one today in town and it looked surprisingly good.

NO!

Fake, stick-on hood scoops are for poser, wannabe ricers.

The Roush looks good, IMHO... I did mine for $50 total, so it was well worth it. I was quoted upwards of $500, then you are near half to a painted ram air w/o box of course.

I think the shaker hood looks best and is quite functional too... though I bet it wont hold up well during a snowstorm.

Don't do it. Stick on on hood scoops are tacky period.

Yea, my hood scoop makes my truck look like pure rice. I even added some engine mods to make it sound ricey. It sounds sort of like a turbo whine. I spent a lot of money to get that rice look and sound, and I think I did well. The hood scoop was definately the final rice feature that my truck needed to become 100% rice. I'd go with the Roush hood scoop if you want to become a ricer wannabe. That's what I did and I couldn't be happier.

In all honosty and seriousness though, I'd opt for the Roush Scoop. The Lund scoops are a little dated and too universal. I don't think they look very good.

Here's the Roush on Red...

I'd get 4 of them, and stick two on the doors!

I vote "No". I'm not a fan of non-functional hood scoops, and IMO non-functional mods are a little rice-like.
