The rear is simple - two bolts on the top and bottom ends of the shocks. Simple as that.

As for the front, I had my local Goodyear install them, then they aligned it. For around $170. Not bad if you ask me.

To install the front struts, you will need a spring compressor. Alot of the research I did came up with the following answer, "Dont mess with a spring compressor." They can be extremely dangerous if you dont know what you are doing. And given that we have heavy duty spring, the basic rental one from AutoZone wont work. So unless you have experience working with spring compressors, I would leave this one to the pros.

I used the spring compressor from autozone to change my shocks and I didn't have any problems at all. Took maybe an hour or so and I had no idea what I was doing when I started.

I just installed mine last night, used a spring compressor from Autozone. It got the job done, but I have to admit there was some good flex in the compressor bolt. I said a couple prayers and handled them carefully...all worked out fine.

Jim, you basically reassemble them like the stockers. From the bottom up - silver ring, stock spring seat, bronze colored cap, bump stop, rubber spacer, metal spacer, stock spring, stock urethane spacer and metal cap, new top screw...and put it back in the truck.

If you need instructions on pulling the front end apart, do a search for autospting installation instructions...there are some great ones around here.

Hope that helps.
