Two questions, would appreciate the assistance:

Flareside...are the bedsides ABS or fiberglass? I suspect ABS due to the sound of them when I rap on them....

Tranny in an 06 4.6...4R70W or 4R75W? I thought the 75 was replacing the 70 after 03-04, but not sure?

 

I have heard that the sides of are fiberglass. I have seen pics of FS in wrecks and the beds jacked up and yup looks like FG to me. Good part no rust!

 

I was told that the beds were ABS, but my source could be wrong. As for the tranny since you have the 4.6L I believe that you have the 4R70W. But I do know that the 5.4L has the 4R75W.

 

In the 97-03 F-150 Flaresides & 01-03 Supercrews, the bedsides were fiberglass. Not sure what they're made of now. But PHS79 is right about the tranny/engine combos.
