PaceSetter Long Tubes...

Does anybody have these on a 4x2, or would it be better to get the shorties in my case?

longtubes are ALWAYS better than shorties. And provide lots mor power for the same price.BTW I prefer Dynatech over pacesetter as they are higher quality and ceramic coated.

Troyer performance has 'em, but be prepared to pay ~ $1200. ( you get what you pay for in this case!)

Don't waste your time with short headers. No big gain from them. Just alot of $$$ and hours to install them. I know, I did the SS Gibsons. There's not MUCH diffrence from the exhaust manifolds and the short headers. FYI

That's what I figured. My pockets aren't exactly that deep to get the dyna's, plus not really worried about the hi flow cats right now, since I have true duals. I really would like to know if anybody has these(pacesetters) installed on a 4x2 w/ pics. Want to get this done b4 i get a CAI.

FX4 Matt, how much deeper does ur truck sound???

Long tubes all the way! The sound with headers is more even because the exhaust pulses exit in an orderly sequence i.e. "in-time", this is also the reason they make more power than shorties and the stock headers.

Get the best long tube headers that you can afford. A good set of headers make for a solid foundation for all the other power mods that you have or will be making.
