Belt Squeal

I have noticed lately that when I am getting on the interstate and accelerating moderately to merge into traffic that when my transmission shifts I hear a breif squeal that I assume is coming from a belt. Is this assumption correct, and if so, what can I do to alleviate the problem? If my assumption in incorrect then what is going on and how do I fix it? I am running level 2 on my edge...don't know if that is of any help. No other mods except what is listed on my sig. Thanks in advance for your help.

You are correct, it is your serpentine belt. Either live with it or try a Goodyear Gatorback replacement. That is the only one I have heard that might stop the noise.

how hard is the belt to put on? also will it hurt anything by NOT replacing it? is this cause due to my use of edge or is this a common thing with 150s?

Not that difficult to replace and it will not hurt anything to keep what you have.
