It's a standup as well, it's a 90' kawi 650. I just learned to ride the standup, we have a bunch of friends that go out to the lake to ride standups thought it was time to jump on the wagon :]

Also, I have starting problems and I've been submerged often. The starter seems to work fine, it sounds like fuel is not getting into the cylinders, dry start. No idea if the problem is related but water does do damage. Also the last time I pulled my diff it had dirty water mixed with the fluid. It now has Royal Purple synth w/LS additive.

This may not affect everyones F150 but I drove through a water covered street last February and water had somehow gotten under the door sill plates. After leak testing the third brake light and back window, it was discovered that the plastic sill strip is held in by grommeted tabs. These tabs go into holes which are exposed to the ground underneath. This was the source of the wet carpet and the wire harness being submerged in water. Just a headsup to anyone trying to figure out the weak spots on our trucks in water.

Yea, these trucks are not necessarily suppose to be as water tight as a brand new military spec Hummer...

I actually noticed what you are talking about the other day I cleaned my carpet Pretty stupid design flaw if you ask me.....

Thanks for the replies everyone. I wasn't too worried but had heard something about the starter, oh well not a problem.

Once i pressure washed the Dodge's engine and when i started it seemed sputter and refuse any accelaration but after 30 seconds all was fine.

I thought i heard the starter is in a bad spot and causes problems.

I have driven thorugh some puddles and been blinded by the steam, i assume this is from the breaks/exhaust/headers/etc.

Thanks

Up here i avoid them like the plague this time of the year. My new Harley F150 already nailed a pothole, and with under 1000 kms i had to change the tire.
