Question Brake suggestions please

'04 FX 4x4, 42K miles
75% highway 25% city

I've had enough of the pulsating brakes and it's time to have them replaced.

Before I drop the truck off to the mechanic, am I crazy asking for rotors that will not warp and pads that are mostly dust free?

Do you have any specific suggestions that I should make to the mechanic?

THANK YOU!

ive had powerslots and ceramic brake pads for about 20,000 miles or so now. awesome stopping and zero brake dust. i will be changing out my factory backs to the same setup in a month or two. thats my two cents

Just got Akebono pads for the front. Hardly any brake dust now! Definitely recommend them.

I did the identical thing to BOTH my front and back a little over a week ago. So far I have put just over 300miles on them since [the break-in period is right at about that] and the difference from stock is absurd.

Breaking under ALL conditions has improved beyond my wildest, the OEM soft pedal bullsheet is history and breakdust is non-existent. One of the best bang-4-bucks modifications I've spent thus far.... worth every penny!

What's more important to you and your family than [significantly] improved breaking ability?

Good luck.

PS: Wait for that "break-in" period as it really does make a difference.
