AVIC-Z2 parking brake question

Where does the green brake wire go on the parking brake? Does it go to the cannon plug or the ground wire? Any help would be great. Im not sure, so I thought I should ask. TIA

Just ground it anywhere. That way you can watch dvd's anytime you want. Without the ebrake on.

Nope does not work on the avic z2.

WGFA goto avic411.com and you will find out all the info you will ever want to know about the Avic head units.
By the way there is no bypass known for the Z2 yet.

Thanks Guys, I no there is not a bypass for the z-2 yet. But I am stumped as to which wire the geen 1 goes to? I put it on the green/pink wire, and I get a warning page at boot up. Very annoying. Says I have it hooked up wrong. The same goes when I hook it up to the black wire too. I am pretty sure it goes to the green/pink wire on the parking brake plug, but why do u think that I keep getting the warning pop-up? I have asked over at avic411, but no one answered yet, and plus I have an f150 this would be a better place to ask this, considering 99% of the people here have the same ride.
So any help would be great. TIA

Not sure about this, but can't you add the extra ground wire in the open space in harness, the like in the avic-d1??? That is the model i have in my 04' SCrew, and that is how i was able to do away w/ the parking brake bs. When i got my truck, it came w/ it, an i couldn't even set tha clock in tha damn thing, guess the previous owner thought it would be funny to unhook that wire. Let us know what you come up with.

KRAZY, I got it. I just got a response from Ducatiboy over at Avic411, and he said that I had to do a reset of the Z2 or the message will not go away. So I guess everytime something is done wrong on the unit, u have to do a rest. I will play with it tomorrow, and give results.

Why can't you watch DVDs without the parking brake? My friend has movies and tv playing all the time when he's driving?!

Its illegal. Not that I wouldn't bypass mine given the chance. But since my D2 doesn't play DVD movies, I really don't have to worry about it. The same bypasses have an affect on the Navi functions too. It would be nice to be able to access some of those while driving.

As of now the Z2 is unhackable, and from what i have read Pioneer has made it that way. Im sure in time someone will figure it out, but dont hold your breathe waiting.

Its not illegal here in GA...not yet at least. I play (notice I didnt say watch) DVDs of music videos all the time going down the road. I wouldnt advise anyone else to do it though...I am just skilled Sometimes I even send emails through my blackberry and watch a DVD while driving....but thats only when I have had a few beers.

Ok, got it. Just had to do the reset and problem went away. Now no more pop-up and the video stays on the screen. For how long we will see. I think I read over Avic411 that the video stays on for a while then goes away. Like a timed thing I guess. Oh well it works!

It is illegal in all 50 states, so unless GA succeeded from the Union.... that would make it illegal there too.

So I guess its a federal crime? I would like to see that statute if you have it. My brother-in-law is a GSP and he said that it wasn't anything on the books making it illegal. I can tell you if it is its not enforced, I play mine all the time and have never been looked at by twice for it.
