Weird Vibrations??

When I turn my truck on (For the first time everyday, not necessarily in the morning, in the middle of the day too) and put it in reverse, occasionally it will have this funky vibration. Seems like it is the rear of the truck, but you can feel it through the whole truck. Normally it is only when the truck is in gear. It has been happening more frequent recently, it goes away after the truck seems to be warm, or at least I am not noticing it. I just hit 50,000 miles if that helps, any ideas? Thanks

Check and make sure the e-brakes are fully released. If the rub you might get a vibration.

Thanks for the reply, the e-brake is fully dis-engaged.

Doesn't mean anything. I had a problem with mine where from the factory it was too tight. Starting having problems only after 30k. All it took was to back of the adjustment a little to fix the problem. Before that I had never used the brake except a time or two. For whatever reason it started to rub at times causing heat and vibration.

Hmmmmm, interesting. I use mine everytime I park, just habit. Might have to look into that, did you smell anything? I figure I would be smelling something. Also, it goes away after the truck has been driven a bit.

I had a similar problem which I narrowed down to the emergency brake. I used to put the e-brake on when I would park in the street outside my house because it is a slight hill, the next day I would release the e-brake and within less than a mile the truck would start to shake. It would start out pretty mild and get to the point that I could see the windshield wipers shaking. It wouldn't stop until the truck came to a stop. Of course I took the truck to the dealership (still under warranty) and they could not duplicate the problem. I just stopped using the emergency brake and the truck hasn't shaken like that in over a year.

Mine was most noticeable on the highway, and definitely could smell the e-brake linings.

Whoa, mine is not that bad, I only notice it when I am pulling out of the garage. Slight vibration, then I drive off and don't hear it again until the next day.
