Twice now while driving under normal load, over half a tank of gas, no heavy acceleration, and no problems indicated by my gauges I have noticed the stock red led up on the dash go on and stay solid for about 3-5 seconds. After that, nothing.

Any ideas what would cause this? Would my xcal 2 pull any codes for this?

 

I don't know what caused it, but mine did the same thing last year on a vacation trip. It came on when I started the truck and then when I stopped and turned it off, and then re-started it, it worked normally again. It has never done that again and it has been about six months ago. I'm beginning to think that since these trucks have so much electronic stuff on them that they have little glitches sometimes and just have to be reset. Just my .02.
