Tore up the front bumper/hood/headlights/new Roush grille/Radiator/etc. However, I see some opportunity out of this mishap. Anyone ever talked the body shop into getting an 06+ bumper when replacing the stock parts. I'd be willing to pay the difference(given its not too much). Thoughts?

I had a '98 f150 XL way back when and I wrecked the front end. It had a chrome grille and headlight surround on it and I liked the painted better. I asked the body shop about putting on the painted instead of the chrome. They said they'd ask the insurance adjuster about it. When I picked it up, it had a painted surround. It cant hurt to ask.

 

Just tell them what you want & that you'll pay the difference. Works everytime.

Remember, you'll need different fogs and bezels for the 2006 setup.
All of the 05 frt bumps are the same $$

The 06's are different $$ depending on above options.
painted ones are cheaper than 05's
chrome ones are more than 05's, about $65 more

We usually make it work for the cust unless it's a big difference.
Of course there are the shops that stand firm on prices and won't do it.
