Believe me or not dude, i didn't have a chance to floor it yet. When the TC slips the computer unlocks it in order to protect the transmission, when that happens the TUNE changes quickly and that can cause detonation .

I am driving very carefully in order to avoid that.

I'm glad you got the truck back, and at least have some time to enjoy it, but I'm disappointed that it isn't at its fullest potential after this amount of time and that you have to baby it. Keep us informed on the TC status. I know you didn't put this much money into this project to get a measly 540 RWHP.

Has Factory Tech given you any indication on how they plan to handle this?

What electric fan are you using that you have bolted to the factory shroud?also where did you get that intercooler and the cost if you dont mind? I would like that for my truck to help with the summer heat here in Texas.

Thanks

That is one sweet set up!

" Remember that this is a break in tune and if the converter was ok, JIM Sr. told me that that he had around 50hp/80trq left on the table with the same 11psi.

My plans for after the break in period(1500 miles) is to push the envelope and run maximum boost with a safe tune for 93 octane gas. That probably will be something around 17-19PSI and 650RWHP/750RWTQ. "

The electric fan is from JDM:

The Heat Exchanger was made by Gords Ford in Canada, they build the best intercoolers on the market and they have excellent prices.
Just call them and ask for Gordon and mention my name that he can get you an excellent deal.

Very nice indeed Rafa , so are they gonna build a custom TC for you or just try to beef one up?

Even if they beef up a single plate TC won't be enough, probably they will have to make a custom 3 plate. I know that Jim Sr. talked to them last friday but i don't know what was resolved.

Their credibility it's really on the line know, let's see how Factory Tech will handle it know.
I heard a lot of good things about Gregg, Factory Tech's owner and the way he handle business.
I think that next week this whole situation will be resolved and Factory Tech will honor their name.

I know man, I just want to hear that everything is perfect, and your dyno sheet is conservative at 600+ horsepower right now. I was hoping for more, but realize that you will have a break in period regardless. Maybe this is a good thing since you have to take it easy now. It'll get rid of that temptation to hammer on your new engine.

I can't wait to see what those final numbers are. Question for you though, if you could have the extra 50HP now, that would put you at 590RWHP at 11psi... so is Jim thinking you will only gain 60 more horses with 6-8PSI more (650RWHP total)? I gained nearly 90 extra RWHP with 2psi more and a better tune, so I'd think that you should see more gains than that with that much extra boost. I'm just curious though, I'm not doubting anybody's numbers or estimates.
