Question ?running wires from cab to eng. comp.?

Help! I'm going to be wiring up my fog lights tomorrow and I did a little looking around tonight as to where I was going to access the cab to supply power for my fog light switch. This is the first chance I've really had to look, and to be honest with you, the only spot I saw was on the driver's side up under the dash near the hood release cable area. Kinda a tight spot, but the only one I could find. Has anyone run extra wiring from the cab to the engine compartment and if so, is there any other spot to do it? I'd really love to get my fog lights operational! Thanks in advance!

hi.

There's a nice big grommet near the steering column/pedal area.

Pull away the carpet in the footwell & it's right there.

Hi back at ya! Thanks BTW!
More specifically, is this grommet on the floorboard or the firewall? What, if anything, is ran through it?

Hi. Sorry I wasn't clearer - it's a firewall grommet - approx 2" diameter.

Nothing runs though it normally. Perfect.

I ran mine under the door sill plate. There is another big grommet there. Then removed the kick panel on the floor to hide the wire.

through the firewall would be faster if you're going to the engine compartment. through the sill is down out and under - firewall dumps you right in. take a razor blade and pop a small hole in the grommet and push your wire through. easy as pie

I used the grommit behind the gas pedal to run all of my wires, power inverter power, CB power, CB antenna, sirius antenna. Was easy to get to from inside and out. It's big enough to run lots of wires through that one spot.
