Coil On Plug Ignition Upgrade
Coil On Plug Ignition Upgrade
did a search and could not come up with much. rpmoutlet.com has some nifty stuff for the newer f-150's. i am slightly interested in the moto blue coil on plug ignition kit but do not know a whole lot about it. shows two options. coils, wires and plugs. or just wires and plugs. anyone running this stuff on there truck? any opinions appreciated. thanks
These are the 60K, the RPM place sells the 40K ones http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...ogno=28-1812CP

I'm still gonna use premium fuel though... Dasani or maybe Evion.. soo many choices.
I don't knowpersonally. I have had a problem with one coil already after the first time I got boosted.. Since I got my truck back with some more tuning etc, I'm getting a check engine light that my code reader says is the coils. Reputable tuner told me that this is not uncommon. I asked about the GMS ones, and he said he had experienced more problems with those than Ford. MSD just came out with some too I think.

the website i found these on sounded like it was a good product. talks about hotter spark, less resistance and etc. i am just looking for something to waste some money on that is also easy to install. doesnt seem to be a whole lot of information on this subject out there. surely some of you guys are running this kind of stuff on your truck?

I had a set of GMS coils about 7 1/2 months ago and went back to FORD coils because of to many problems with the GMS's. So basiccally I wasted $ 650 on them. The MSI coils are supposed to be really good though.

GMS, MSD and Accel COP's are all made by Micro-Tech in VA. I had one cop that gave me trouble after 3500 RPM's and I contacted GMS and they told me to talk to Micro-Tech directly, shipped it to them and they sent me a new one.
