I feel like I'd be cheating with XLT badges, but the thought had crossed my mind. I guess other than the wheels there isn't much of a difference from an XLT is there?

Looks good. Mine will have a similar look when my honeycomb grill arrives.

nice upgrade.

just pointin outsomethin but has anyoen else noticed this?
ive seen a few ads including a very first myspace ad for the f150s :O, but back to what i was saying, im seeing ads for f150s, but theyre showing XL's with 2wd, non-chrome steel wheels, and manual mirrors, are they trying to show the un-dressed models for a reason?

I have the manual mirrors on my STX and hate them. Did you run power to your mirrors? Could you explain the install process to me?

I did it essentially the same way ChrisAdams had done it. I went to the salvage yard and picked up a mirror switch from an old ford contour so I could get the pigtail with the switch. I picked up the power mirrors on Ebay for cheap and used floppy-drive molex connectors to connect the mirrors. I ran my own wires and use some cable wrap to keep everything tidy. I pretty much just used a multimeter to figure out the connections which isn't hard. If you want more details, send me a PM.

I didn't take a picture of my switch or the install but it looks identical to Chris's below.

My opinion, I prefer the bar style with painted surround, depends on the color of the truck too. Those honeycombs look to girly on a 4WD, maybe for my wife's..

On your truck it definately looks better, good work. I think the painted front piece above the bumper (whats that called?) made the biggest difference though.

Oh and as far as being on topic, deerfeedrb your truck looks awesome compared to the plain jane XL that you used to own.
