Question Are EDR systems on or comming to +07 F-150?

I've kind been reading up on the subject lately. I was curious and wanted to know if FoMoCo has and/or have plans to equip the F-150 with this EDR system?

Anyone have any thoughts or input on having this system on your vehicle?

Hi.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't already there.

This article: http://www.injurysciences.com/Documents/Claims82002.pdf, (page two) indicates Ford has already been using it for several years on some models....

I guess you mean the infamous "black box." If so, they've already been in use for several years now. Nothing new.

Under the center front seat, or under the center console in trucks equipped with floor shifters.

Isn't it just the airbag control unit? Not a seperate control unit just for data logging.

Remember

The government knows much more than we do, and we need to let them monitor every breath we take and every word we utter. We are too stupid to exist without government.

The airbag module is the "black box." In the event of a crash, the RCM stores things like vehicle speed, whether the seat belts were buckled or not, whether there was someone in the passenger's seat, G-forces upon impact, etc.

The information can only be retrieved by someone with a piece of equipment made by Vetronix. Most state police departments have this doodad.
