Sunroof/Moonroof questions
Ditto with no noise problems as long as rear slider is cracked open. Definately nice option to have.
I'm also 6' and have more headroom in this truck than my '90 without a moonroof.
I would get a new truck with it again and recommend it.

...well it's just a concern i thought i'd mention, the roof takes out at least 2 inches, I'm 6'4" & a bit &
maybe i like the seatback up a bit higher etc...at any rate i only had a couple inches between the top of my bean and the headliner w/ moonroof. I'm also a drilling service contractor and i work out on the rigs so part of the time i'm driving on rutted, rough gravel & dirt 'roads', so it don't take much bouncing to take up those 2 -3 inches.....i could just see cursing myself as i banged my knoggin' off the roof for the umpteenth time, so i didn't order one.

OK, I just went out and measured the front seat head room of my 2007 SCrew with Moon Roof vs my next door neighbor's 2006 SCab with no moon roof.
I have 1.25 inches less head room above the front of the driver's seat. At the back of the driver's seat I lost 0.50 inches of head room. At 6 foot tall, there is 5.5 inches above my head to the head liner with the seat at the highest setting. A whole 1.25 inches? No wonder I never noticed!

What am I the only one here that has ever had problems with mine???? I've had two and had problems with both
In my 2002 the rear window leak rotted out the sunshade and the metal stop would bad around in the headliner. I also had to have the rubber trim replaced on it once.
In my 2005 the dealer had to replace the rubber trim as soon as I bought it. later the motor went out and they replaced it. Then the whole thing just quit, and they were calling for rain, of course it was opened so I ran it over to my dealer and got a loaner. At this point the replaced the entire assembly and headliner. The truck was only 6 months old when this happened.
I haven't had any issues with them in my GM cars
other than a leak once in my 95 Bonneville due to a clogged drain.

I have this rule with aftermarket moon/sun roofs... I don't do them.
Two previous bad experiences have left a sour taste in my mouth. Third time may be a charm, but I'll never know.
I wanted a moon roof [desperately] with this truck but it just wasn't happening due to low stock. I'll get by...

I didn't have one on my '99 F250 SD. When I decided to get an F150, it was one of the options I absolutely had to have. Due to the weather, I have only had it open maybe 3 times so far, but I love it!!!! Sure it's a little noisy, but I am glad I got it. I was thinking of getting one of the deflectors. I don't know if they help or not. Does anyone have one?
