Ford factory skid plates - should I get?

I am about to order a new F150 - tomorrow and wanted to know about the skid plates. Doubt I will go off road much. We have a lake house and will be dropping the boats and will drive over the other lot we have next door that is pretty rough. Basically, how much will the skid plates help driving over the rough terrain - they are only 160 bucks?

Aftermarket would be better. The stock ones are pretty thin.

For $160 I'd just get the factory ones. Don't hesitant to get anything you REALLY want when ordering a truck. You'll regret it, trust me, I'm going though that right now waiting for mine to come in.

If you're questioning if you should get them, get them. $160 isn't worth not getting them and trying to get them added, it'll cost you a lot more!
