ust called PIE and they said if I have an AUX button then my radio has satellite for in input. Is this correct? if that is right then what is my best option so I can control the ipod on the HU? Attached are pics

My Goal is to charge/play my ipod with my factory HU. I want as much functionality as I can get out of my HU without having to mess with my ipod. Thanks. 2004 FX4 Supercrew

I have the same head unit and am wanting to plug a Ipod in as well, but the PIE adapters I have seen don't charge the Ipod.

You would have to upgrade to a 2005 and up head unit, the 04's were not mp3 capable. Look for MP3 printed on the front of radio.
This unit allows you to control your ipod thru the radio controls, and also charges the ipod with one cord.

 

dang I really want to use the HU I have. PIE guys said I can use theirs because I have satelite capability, is this true?

 

I run a pie adapter for my overhead DVD and Ipod..

 

don't know about the PIE units, the peripheral ones require mp3 capability. A 2005 radio is identical to an 04, it just can play mp3's, and can be found on ebay pretty cheap and are a direct bolt-in.
