warranty questions

I was wondering, does installing a intake, leveling kits, etc. void the warranty?
A friend of mine said on his last truck that it would void the warranty with an intake. i know its probably a stupid question, but this is my first truck with a warranty.

The presence of aftermarket parts alone will not void the warranty, but some dealers are easier to deal with than others. Do a search for the Moss-Magnusson Warranty Act.

If it can be proven that the aftermarket part was the cause of the failure then the warranty will not be honored. But only for that failure. It will not void the entire vehicle warranty. As said before, some dealers are easier to deal with than others.

Yeah if some one floods their engine with a CAI then they wont fix it under warranty for example.
