chrome panel cladding and trim on black 2005 XLT SuperCab

I was in a hurry when I bought my truck one rainy night at the end of 2005 (still wasn't a bad deal at 10K below MSRP), and didn't realize at the time that the chrome trim it came with was so unusual. It was part of a Roush package that also included the billet grill. The chrome has never really bothered me, but I've always wondered what other peoples' honest opinion is. A friend once used the dreaded "bling" word, but otherwise the truck has only received complements. What do you think? What would you do if this was your truck? Just curious.

I think thats enough chrome to make it look good, dont go overkill and do the handles and mirrors though. I did mine last year and i dont like it any more.
Did you get the roush exhaust to?

Looks good, I have been contemplating doing the fender/rockers on my truck with those pieces. Only seen a few trucks in person that have that done and it makes yours stand out. Just stay away from the diamond plate stuff, there is a Yellow F3250 driving around my town with lots of diamond plate and it just looks like ****.

Thanks. I don't plan to add any more chrome. No, I don't have the Roush exhaust.

You asked for an honest opinion so here goes, I am not really a fan of chrome to begin with but I think the chrome trim on the lower rocker mouldings looks tasteful, but the chrome fender flares look not good im my opinion. I think without those it would look distinctive and definately stand out from the crowd. The only thing I would worry about is the adhesive failing over time and allwing the pieces to come loose or worse yet, fall off.

I think its clean and unique. Keep it like it is. I might even throw a set of chrome 18's like the ones you have on there for good measure.

The door handles, pillars and mirrors, good like they are, possibly go with LT handles, but no more.

I didn't know you could get the Roush trucks in 4x4. I'm not a big fan of the chrome.

I have to agree here. The truck looks great with the exception of the fender flares. IMO I think it would look much better with painted fender flares instead of the chrome. But the chrome on the bottom looks clean and smooth with your chrome bumpers. The lines seem to flow well. This is only my opinion, but I think the chrome fender flares overdo it. But it looks great, and it looks like you have a leveling kit on there, always a nice addition. Welcome to the Jungle!

Looks good but only on the black truck. LT handles would look nice but other than that it's nice.

A carpenter on the job i was on had a Heartland edition, the badge actually said F-150 Heartland, looked alot like the harley one... I never heard of this before. He had an 05 Screw 5.4 4x4 leather, 20" roush wheels and pulleys and all the chrome like the platnium. He also had monitors in the headrest. pretty sweet imo anyone else have a heartland or even seen one?

It's the 2005 Mountain West Edition.

Luckily, Auto Spring is located here in Boise, Idaho. They installed my 2" leveling kit for only $200 (parts+labor) including alignment.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
