Opinions about new grille that shipped with bent bar...

I purchased this grille combo a few weeks ago and when I got it in the mail it looked good... But when I installed it yesterday I can't help but notice the second bar on the lower right is bent too far down. It is extremely noticable to me... It also has a little bit of a gap on the top of the grille and the surround near the hood... I want to know your guys opinion... Keep the grille and let it drive me crazy, or return it and get the Roush grille...

Oh and the bar can't be bent back because it is welded that way... I already tried, I am just too **** about my truck and the bent bar would drive me nuts... What do you guys think? Here are the pics:

I agree, give it a few good whacks or pry on it with something should do the trick.

I just taped some needlenose plyers to prevent damage and bent mine upward. My bend was in the same place.

It looks like you got it in at least! But I agree thee is no way I could live with that either...and it looks like the bend starts before the point its welded at (like you said) so I agree you cant just bend it back. The bottom bar is not staight either, see its higher on the driver's side than it is the passenger's? I say send that mother back and get a Cariage Works billet grille.

I would call company make sure they will take it back since it has been on the vehicle. If they will take it back you have to choices. take it out and then send it back. or you can try bend it back risk damaging it more then they get it and say this is not what u explained looks like u bent it. loss of money in shipping charges and all. just my 2 cents i would prolly try bending it back nothing like heating it up or anything but light bending back work. then if it dont work send it back.

If you can't fix it w/o risk of breaking it, I'd say return it. It would drive me crazy too.

To everybody that suggests "just bending it", I am curious as to how you propose she bends it when the bar is welded in place to a support bar behind it. Had you read her posts you would know that.
Here is a better pic showing how its attached and that it cant be just "bent straight":

Well, if she had given all the proper information from the beginning they would have come up with the same comclusion as you did.

I think she should send it back after a heated phonecall to the vender.

Send it back, if it isn't perfect it isn't what you ordered.

I'm glad some people read the entire post before replying

Like stated its welded that way, my dad has the talent of welding and he said you can't do anything about it and to send it back... I have 7 more days to return it, so I am going to give them a call and ask, its only been on the truck one day so their isn't much wear on it... shouldn't be a problem, hopefully....

Some of you said a Carriage Works grille... How does that compare to the Roush Grille? The Roush grille looks awesome, any pics of Carriage Works that might change my mind?

The only thing is the Roush doesn't have a matching bumper (lower) grill. Carriage works has the main grill and the matching bumper insert. Hopefully Roush will make a matching bumper insert in the near future.
